Rachel Cabitt

Rachel Cabitt is a photographer based in New York, known for her saturated nighttime portraits. Exploring the juxtaposition between darkness, color and intimacy, she experiments with limited amounts of light and analog processes to create intricate descriptions of her subjects. Editorially, Cabitt brings the same colors she sees at night into the studio, vibrantly capturing her subjects. She has shot for Rolling Stone, WeTransfer, Pitchfork, The New York Times, and Barron's, and has been awarded by Photo District News and American Photography for her portraiture.
