Ian Edward White is a self-taught photographer currently based out of San Diego, CA. White explores the human condition in America, using the techniques of both candid and landscape photography. The artists work tends to focus on themes of circumstance, melancholy, and existentialism. White is mainly influenced by Robert Frank, Alec Soth, and Louis Stettner. The artist is currently editing his first full-length body of work, entitled “Sea Bird”. He is planning on publishing the work into a monograph, with the hopes of gaining support from a publisher.
